Gerke Family Photo Shoot

This past weekend I had the privilege to work with the Gerke family on their family portraits. We started the day by meeting down by the Fox River in De Pere. We headed out to the old lock keepers house on the river and found a nice bench to take some shots. Next we headed over to the porch which framed the shot nicely of the family. They all were a joy to work with. Laughing and joking even with how cold the weather was the day we shot. Everyone was a good sport and we had some really nice shots at the end of the morning. Puppy Play Time

Last night in Houghton we had a small snow fall and today we took my friends dog, Bailey, out to play in the snow for the first time. At first she wasn't too sure what to do with the snow. We attempted to get her to play fetch, but she would "lose" the ball in the snow and instead jump around and play with the snow. Photographing dogs is always fun because you get to capture the excitement and playful nature of the animals. I was able to capture some good expressions on Baileys face as she played in the snow and ran around. I look forward to seeing how she reacts when we get some real snow.
